How to understand the fourth paragraph of INTRODUCTION

The fourth paragraph of introduction as below:
If the functions of an appliance are covered by different parts 2 of IEC 60335, the relevant part 2 is applied to each function separately, as far as is reasonable. If applicable, the influence of one function on the other is taken into account.
NOTE 1 Throughout this publication, when “Part 2” is mentioned, it refers to the relevant part of IEC 60335.

Most of the household electrical appliances have their corresponding Part II standards. However, some household electrical appliances may contain multiple functions, and the corresponding functions are within the scope of evaluation of other Part II standards, therefore, when evaluating such products, it is necessary to consider two or more Part II standards at the same time; or to consider the contents of some clause in a Part II standard.

A typical example is the AIR COOLER with both heating function, humidification function and individual fan functions, which requires simultaneous consideration of the three Part II standards IEC 60335-2-30 (room heaters), IEC 60335-2-98 (humidifiers), and IEC 60335-2-80 (fans); and the desktop fan for home desktop use, which comes with an anion generator, which, while considering the IEC 60335-2-80 Part II standards, requires additional consideration of the ozone concentration test requirements in Section 32 of IEC 60335-2-65 (air cleaner).
