\nFixa\u00e7\u00e3o tipo X: a liga\u00e7\u00e3o do cabo de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 feita num espa\u00e7o especialmente preparado no aparelho. Portanto, ao substituir o cabo de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, nenhuma outra pe\u00e7a, exceto o bloco de terminais e o fio interno, ser\u00e1 tocada. Os parafusos que fixam o cabo de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o parafusos comuns cruzados ou de cabe\u00e7a chata. A substitui\u00e7\u00e3o do cabo de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 realizada dentro de uma faixa control\u00e1vel. Ap\u00f3s a abertura da caixa estrutural do aparelho, a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o pode tocar nas pe\u00e7as m\u00f3veis perigosas ou outras pe\u00e7as sob tens\u00e3o no interior do aparelho. Neste caso, \u00e9 mais seguro definir a conex\u00e3o como tipo Y e exigir que profissionais substituam o cabo de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o. Normalmente, os parafusos de fixa\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o parafusos normais que podem ser operados por usu\u00e1rios comuns, mas se pe\u00e7as perigosas puderem ser tocadas durante a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o do cabo de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, isso geralmente \u00e9 definido como fixa\u00e7\u00e3o Tipo Y.
