\u2013 for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary;
\u2013 in many countries, additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour, the national water supply authorities and similar authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n
Generally speaking, for the appliances used in vehicles, ships or aircrafts, it is necessary to add the test of transportation vibration, but part 1 does not give the transportation and vibration test standards to be met; usually, the test requirements for transportation and vibration as well as the reference standards will be given in part 2 of the standard. For example, standard IEC 60335-2-24 for household refrigerators adds detailed vibration test requirements for vehicle refrigerators, and IEC 60335-2-30 for small space heaters used in vehicles gives requirements for drop and vibration tests.<\/p>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t
